 Text

“Fashion has never been this sweet in Shanghai, China. As part of the grand opening of the country’s first chocolate wonderland, a chocolate fashions show was hosted.

Models covered in edible garments strolled down the runway. The chocolate couture ranged from simple accessories to complete dresses. And to make chocolate more fabric friendly, designers such as Lin Guodong got creative.

– Chocolate can be crispy and it’s not very malleable nor can you easily shape it. This time the craftsmen had added some special ingredients so it could be easily shaped. It was more practical for us.

And models say that the sweet creations feel like normal clothes.

– The clothes made with chocolate are actually the same as normal clothes. The weather is cold, so the chocolate does not melt. Besides it has been specially treated. It’s beautiful.

The Shanghai World Chocolate Dream Park features chocolate terra-cotta soldiers, and host other tasty treats. It will be open until February 19.”
