Language is an art – don’t you think?

Good morning!

Edward Sapir,  an American anthropologist-linguist, widely considered to be one of the most important figures in the early development of the discipline of linguistics, said the following quote:

“Language is an anonymous, collective and unconscious art; the result of the creativity of thousands of generations.”

Here at ABA English, we think this is beautiful and inspiring. So on this Tuesday, wherever you are (let us know where you are in the comments below) we hope you too are inspired by this.

So if language is art and it takes hard work, we can conclude also that perfecting any type of art is going to involve work. What we all sometimes forget is always that it is worth it!
