Hoje é sexta-feira e sextas-feiras me fazem muuuuuito feliz porque significa que tenho um fim de semana inteiro pela frente para descansar, relaxar e passar tempo com os meus amigos. Vocabulário

to worry: se preocupar

trouble: problema, preocupação

ain’t : ain’t é uma contração coloquial que pode significar ou a negação do verbo to be em todas as pessoas (Life ain’t easy = Life is not easy) ou simplesmente indicar negação quando acompanhado do particípio got: I ain’t got no money = I haven’t got any money. Neste caso devemos fazer uma negação dupla adicionando o advérbio no após got.

to lay: apoiar, repousar

landlord: locador, senhorio, caseiro

late: atrasado

to litigate: litigar

cash: dinheiro

‘cause: contração informal de because. Às vezes pode se escrever ‘cos ou até mesmo ‘coz, e nem sempre com apóstrofo.

to frown: fazer carranca, franzir as sobrancelhas

to bring down: abalar, desencorajar alguém.

to hope: ter a esperança de algo

to expect:  esperar, antecipar, supor
