We would like to introduce Andy Grammer; he’s going to help us learn some English with his fun song “Keep your head up”. Andy Gramer is an American singer-songwriter and record producer.

Vocabulary

Bills – a document that says how much money you owe for something you have bought or used.

Mindset – a particular way of thinking : a person’s attitude or set of opinions about something.

Income – money that is earned from work, investments, business, etc.

Bread crumbs – a very small amount of something. In this case, a very small wage.

Keep your head up – stay strong, hold on. Keep going, even if it’s a difficult time

Let your hair down – an expression that means to behave in an uninhibited or relaxed manner.

Skeptics – a person who questions or doubts something (such as a claim or statement).

Mess – in very informal English, something that messes with your mind or head causes you to feel confused.

Seeing all the angles – seeing a situation from different perspectives.

Tangled – complicated or confusing.

Compromise – a way of reaching agreement in which each person or group gives up something that was wanted in order to end an argument or dispute.
