Vocabulario

to worry: preocuparse

trouble: problema, preocupación

ain’t: ain’t es una contracción coloquial que puede significar o bien la negación del verbo to be con todas las personas gramaticales (Life ain’t easy = Life is not  easy) o sencillamente indicar negación cuando va acompañado del participio got: I ain’t got no money = I haven’t got any money. En este caso usamos doble negación al añadir el adverbio no.

to lay: apoyar, reposar

landlord: casero, arrendatario

late: atrasado

to litigate: litigar, emprender acciones legales

cash: dinero, efectivo

’cause: contracción informal de because. A veces puede escribirse ‘cos o incluso ‘coz, y no siempre con apóstrofo.

to frown: fruncir el ceño

to bring down: abatir, desanimar

to hope: tener la esperanza de algo

to expect:  esperar, anticipar, suponer
