Vocabulary
Pounding – the act of beating loudly and quickly; when your head is pounding it means you have a very bad headache.
Glitter -to shine with bright points of light.
Flamingo – a large tropical bird that has pink or red wings and a very long neck and legs.
Minibar – a small refrigerator in a hotel room that has drinks inside it for guests. To smell like a minibar means to smell of alcohol.
Passed out – to fall asleep or become unconscious.
Screwed up – to make a mistake.
Blacked out – a sudden and temporary loss of consciousness, vision, or memory
Rules (something rules) – when something rules it means it’s great, it’s the best thing.
Shots – a small amount of a drink and especially a strong alcoholic drink.
Max out credit cards – to reach the capacity limit on your credit card.
Kicked out – to force (someone) to leave a place. In this case, to leave the bar.
Streaking – to run through a public place naked in order to get attention.
Skinny dipping – to swim without wearing any clothes.
Connect the dots – to learn or understand how different things are related.
Towed the car – to pull (a vehicle) behind another vehicle with a rope or chain.
Warrant – a document issued by a court that gives the police the power to do something.
