Today we are going to learn some English vocabulary by watching “Santa’s Christmas“, a story about what happened when Santa Claus became ill.
It’s a great story to remind us of what matters during Christmas: love, kindness, family and friends.

Vocabulary
Snow-covered – covered in snow. Covered means having a layer of something on top of something else.
Treetops – the highest part of a tree.
Lodge – a house or hotel in the country or mountains for people who are doing some outdoor activity.
Hustle and bustle – energetic activity.
Wondered – to have interest in knowing or learning something : to think about something with curiosity.
Reindeer – a large type of deer that lives in northern parts of the world.
Out of breath – breathing very hard because you have been running or doing hard physical work.
Sled – a small vehicle that has a flat bottom or long, narrow strips of metal or wood on the bottom and that is used for moving over snow or ice.
Hop – to move by a quick jump or series of jumps.
Knock – to hit something (such as a door) with the knuckles of your hand or with a hard object (such as a knocker) in order to get people’s attention.
Soft – smooth and pleasant to touch.
Quilt – a bed cover with stitched designs that is made of two layers of cloth filled with wool, cotton, or soft feathers.
Doorstep – a step or series of steps leading up to one of the doors that is used to enter or leave a building.
Pipe up – to start talking : to say something.
Fondly – in a loving way.
Hug – to put your arms around someone especially as a way of showing love or friendship.
