Te preguntamos porque la canción que vamos a aprender hoy se trata de cómo un hombre le pide a su futuro suegro permiso para casarse con su hija. ¡Es tan romántico! Pero … ¡el suegro dice que no! El suegro no va a darle el  permiso, por lo que el cantante (Nasri) le dice “¡me casaré con ella de todos modos!”.

Vocabulario

Suit– Conjunto de chaqueta, pantalón y, a veces, chaleco, hechos de la misma tela.

Jet– Avión que usa motores de reacción.

Old –fashioned : chapado a la antigua, relativo al pasado

Get your blessing – obtener una aprobación que te permite hacer algo, tener el consentimiento de alguien.

Tough luck – es una expresión que significa  “mala suerte” , o que has estado sin suerte.

Rude – no sentir o  mostrar respeto hacia los sentimientos  o derechos de los demas, ser grosero.

Hate – un sentimiento de odio, aborrecer, detestar.

Altar –  En el cristianismo, mesa consagrada sobre la que el sacerdote celebra la misa. La expresión: “you are led to the altar”, significa que contraerás matrimonio, que  te casas.

Galaxy – Galaxia. Cada una de las agrupaciones de estrellas, nebulosas, polvo y gas que se encuentran esparcidas por el universo.
