ABA English.

The world welcomes the brand new ABA English campus and website!

As well as recording 144 video classes with our best teachers and summarizing English grammar into easy to learn chunks, we have just recorded 144 “short films” in New York and Barcelona with native English speaking actors, just for our students!

To put all this material together and offer it to the world, we hired a Spanish filming crew and began working! The idea was to create the entire course based on the Natural Method of learning:

1. Listen and Understand
2. Write and Speak

These videoclasses, which are in themselves a complete course, are offered for free to all ABA English students who register with us.

After registering, future students will start by selecting their English level. And then they will begin learning! At the end of each of the 6 levels, students will receive their American & British Academy certificates.

As you can see below, each level is comprised of 24 units, each of which you can complete within two or three days.

You can access all the videos and the interactive grammar exercises, all of them available on the side menu, by clicking on the content related to the level you are studying.

As well as accessing all the videoclasses, you can contact teachers at any moment. This way, you can clarify any questions you might have had during the class!

Each unit is divided into different sections which will deal both with reading comprehension as well as grammar and vocabulary practice. In some modules, you will have to record your own voice and participate in the dialogues, all of them based on the initial video.

The videos are available with subtitles and no subtitles. We recommend you watch them as many times as is necessary to understand the whole dialogue! When practicing the sentences in the next module, you will be able to record your own voice and practice your pronunciation, as you can see here:

The following section will help you practice written English. You will hear a sentence and you’ll have to write it down in the correct spaces:

To practice your spoken English, access the module which allows you to interpret each of the videos characters by accessing the original dialogue and recording your own voice:

The grammar section, explained in video form, will show specific detailes that require your special attention, such as the difference between “say” and “tell”, for example. The grammar videos are always followed by examples and exercises.

The exercises consist in completing sentences with the right grammar. If the answer is correct it will show up in green, if it is not, the read will indicate there is a mistake.

Finally, before being able to access each unit’s exam, you can practice the vocabulary you learnt in each section by listening and practicing each word’s pronunciation.

This is the course’s general structure. There are a series of options in the side menu that will allow you to work on other sections, such as interactive grammar, but the course will still follow the natural methodology of listen, speak and practice.
