What do you have for breakfast?

Our Facebook page is a great place to practice English online and learn new, interesting things. Last week on the Facebook page we asked our fans about their morning routines.

It is sometimes hard finding time to eat breakfast with our busy, daily lives. Breakfast is the first meal of the day, and many argue, the most important of them all. Coffee is a popular favorite across the world. A cup of hot coffee in the morning is a nice kick-start to the day. Others like tea or orange juice.

Cereal and oatmeal are other staples of breakfast meals. They provide good nutrients for starting off the day, while also being easy to make and fast to eat.

Pancakes are a classic American breakfast dish. They take quite a bit of time to prepare though, so they are usually eaten on the weekends at home or at a restaurant if you have the time to spare.

Take a look at the recipe on Chow to see how to make blueberry pancakes at home! You’ll notice that the instructions are in American measurements so I’ve attached a clear conversion table for your convenience.

Let us know if you try making these pancakes at home! Tell us how your experiment went, whether you liked the pancakes or not, and if you can, send us a picture!
