Future Continuous with Will
We use the future continuous to talk about an action that will be in progress at a particular moment in the future.
Examples:
“I will be working out at the gym tomorrow midday”
“Henry will be eating supper at his favourite restaurant on Sunday”
To form the future continuous, we use the future form of the verb “to be”, “will be”, and a verb in the -ing form.
Future Continuous with will – Affirmative
Examples:
“I will be singing in church on Monday”
“He will be playing football then”
Future Continuous with will – Negative
We make the negative form of the future continuous by using the negative form of the verb “to be”, “will not be”, and a verb in the -ing form.
If we want, we can use the contracted form of “will not”: “won’t”.
Examples:
“I will not be living in London next year”
“She won’t be cooking meat today”
Future Continuous with will – Interrogative
We form questions in the future continuous by putting the auxiliary “will” before the subject.
Examples:
“Will you be studying at university next year?”
“Will you be staying in Spain for the holidays?”
To answer these questions with the future continuous with “will”, we need to use the modal verb “will” or “won’t”.
Examples:
“Will you grandmother be eating lunch with us every day?” “No, she won’t“
“Will your brother be playing tennis every Saturday?” “Yes, he will“
