Reading Comprehension – Poem by Hafiz

Hi there beautiful,

Well, we are one week away from the USA’s biggest and most-loved holiday: Thanksgiving.

Now I’m sure most of you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but the idea of having a day where you think about all the amazing things in your life to be grateful for is something we should all have. In a perfect world, we should be grateful every day, of course, but a lot of times we forget to appreciate our friends, family and blessings.

So today we want to ask you what YOU are grateful for and to share it with us on Facebook (or on the blog).

Next week Thursday we will ask you again, so keep thinking of all those things you are grateful for during the week!

To get you inspired, here’s a beautiful quote on gratitude by Hafiz, a Persian poet born in 1325.

grtitude

“Even after all this time, the sun never says to the Earth, ‘You owe me’. Look what happens with a love like that: it lights up the sky”.

Isn’t that beautiful? It reminds us to give our love freely to those around us and not expect anything in return. Only a love like that will light up your heart and the heart of those around you.
